William Horner
President & CEO
Founder William Horner grew up on a family farm in Iowa. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree from North Park University in Chicago, he taught junior high school while earning a Master’s degree in Education from Indiana University. In 1966 he founded Experience Education, a non-profit educational corporation which has operated continuously since that time.  In the 1980s, he established educational and agricultural businesses in Africa and the Caribbean. In 2003 he started Naturally Iowa, an organic dairy processing plant where the first PLA-plastic bottles for dairy products were pioneered.   After taking Naturally Iowa public, he joined with Tulsa-based businessmen in 2010 and the company name was changed to Totally Green, Inc.  To better target the growing market for plant-based bottles, Totally Green Bottles and Caps, LLC, was created in 2012.  As the President of Totally Green Bottles And Caps, Bill continues to carry forward his vision of expanding the use of plant-based bottles in “closed loop” environments and growing the company in the United States and beyond.

Paul Boudreau
Chief Operating Officer

In 2013, Paul created UrthPact after 20 years of experience in plastic injection molding. His expertise in the plastics field led to his vision of developing 100% plant-based compostable plastic parts. Working with the exciting new material, he was able to understand its properties and engineer a way to mold it into parts of any size for other businesses products looking for Eco-friendly alternatives to conventional plastic methods.

Bruce Kucera
Vice President, Equipment Design & Engineering Support
Raised in various locations throughout Nebraska, Bruce Kucera earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and Communications from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri.  Following a decade-long professional basketball career along with other marketing activities, Bruce became passionate about the bottled water profession.  In 1995 he joined Norland International, Inc., a bottled water equipment and supply firm located in Lincoln, Nebraska, and continues to serve as company Vice President for Sales.  Bruce has served as an advisor on the Technical Review Committee for the Water Conditioning & Purification International Magazine. As a Board of Director for Naturally Iowa, Inc., he was instrumental in that company launching the first Ingeo bottles for the dairy industry. He has written numerous articles for industry journals and co-authored “The Success Guide to the Bottled Water Industry.”

Derek Helmer
Chief – Engineering
Totally Green Bottles & Caps LLC
Vice President of Technology
Derek graduated from Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to joining Urthpact, Derek held the role of Product Development Team Leader at Husky Injection Molding Systems and Director of Engineering at FastHeat Inc. Derek began working at UrthPact a little over 6 years ago. Derek chose to work at UrthPact because he knew it was an agile and dynamic company with a culture that encouraged achievement. His greatest enjoyment comes from educating current and potential UrthPact customers on the opportunities that are available with compostable polymers. Derek finds it extremely rewarding to show customers that their impact on the environment can be reduced, while retaining all the functionality of their products.

Mike Pousland
Chief – Quality Control

Vice President of Operations
Mike graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering. Mike also received his MBA from Elkin B. McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley College. Prior to joining UrthPact, Mike held several roles in both engineering and operations. He is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt and held a role as a Six Sigma deployment leader. Mike began working at UrthPact a little over 6 years ago. He started as the Vice President of Quality, but has taken on a broader role overseeing engineering and operations. His greatest enjoyment comes from working with a team who is truly committed to improving UrthPact’s footprint on this planet. Mike finds it extremely rewarding that his actions make a clear difference inside the company, with customers, and for the environment on a daily basis.

Lawrence Cohen
Vice President, External Affairs & Government Relations
A native of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Lawrence Cohen obtained a BA degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and a MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago.  For 27 years Larry was a Foreign Service Officer with the United States Department of State.  He served overseas in Mexico, Honduras, India, Hungary, Nigeria, Brazil, and Afghanistan, as well as assignments in Washington, DC.  His substantive experience included economics, commercial affairs, development finance, energy, environmental, science & technology affairs, and trade.  Following retirement in 2007 from the State Department, Larry created Lawrence Cohen Associates, Inc., a small business consultancy and training enterprise, and assists companies expand opportunities overseas.

Jaime Lee Bunton
Digital Marketing Manager
Jaime Lee, Communications/Media Graduate of Fitchburg State University, joins Totally Green Bottles and Caps in 2017. She has over 14 years experience in various marketing and customer advocate roles in the telecom, security, healthcare, and plastics manufacturing industry. She believes we are all global citizens of a shared environment. She strives to be a good steward of the natural surroundings given to her and promoting compostable plastic bottles has been an easy mission to cling to. Jaime Lee will help coordinate all social media, marketing, and public relations efforts.
